Gyeongbukgung.jpg

Upon arrival, travel to Seoul city, pass by the Blue House which is the executive office and official residence of the president of the Republic of Korea with unique blue tiles roof top. Next visit the Gyeongbukgung (Palace) commonly referred to as the “Northern Palace” because it is the furthest north when compared to the neighbouring palaces. It is arguably the most beautiful and remains the grandest of all five palaces in the capital. It was destroyed by fire during the Japanese Invasion. However, all of the palace's 7,700 rooms were later restored during the reign of King Gojong. Remarkably, the most representative edifices of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeonghoe-ru Pavilion and Hyangwonjeong Pond are still relatively intact. Take a short walk to visit the nearby National Folklore Museum with display over 4,000 historical artefacts that were used in the daily lives of ordinary Korean people then. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Jeju. Visit the Ice Museum & 3D Art Gallery, an indoor ice sculpture gallery that is open year-round offering a fun array of ice sculptures Ice Waterfall, Ice Slide and beautiful ice cravings all kept under 5℃ below zero. Get hands-on and have fun making own your own ice cup or salad bowl. Be amazed by the 3D art that turns traditional two-dimensional art into a three-dimensional experience. Each work looks differently when seen from different angles or spots. Its magic magnifies when seen from camera lenses where you can take pictures with various fun poses blending nicely with exhibitions allowing you become a part of the painting.
