    Yongduam Rock

    Upon arrival, meet and greet by our friendly guide and transfer to the domestic airport for a short flight to Jeju Island, a picturesque island filled with culture and charm. Upon arrival, visit the famous Yongduam Rock which is one of the most unique lava formations as it looks like a roaring dragon raised from the sea into the sky, hence its name. Next experience for yourself the phenomenon of going uphill with the vehicle engine turned off at the Mysterious Road, where it is renowned for the optical illusion that makes its appear to be sloping upwards, when in fact it runs downhill. Spend the rest of the day at Sumokwon Theme Park that includes an indoor ice sculpture gallery that is open year-round offering a fun array of ice sculptures Ice Waterfall, Ice Slide and beautiful ice cravings all kept under 5℃ below zero. Get hands-on and have fun making own your own ice cup or salad bowl. Be amazed by the 3D art gallery that turns traditional two-dimensional art into a three-dimensional experience. Each work looks differently when seen from different angles or spots. Its magic magnifies when seen from camera lenses where you can take pictures with various fun poses blending nicely with exhibitions allowing you become a part of the painting.

    Seongsan Ilchulbong

    After breakfast, visit Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as ‘Sunrise Peak’, a volcanic crater perched out on the eastern tip and is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Jeju Island’s most famous geographical features formed over 100,000 years ago. The huge crater on the top is lined with the 99 sharp rocks making it looking like a gigantic crown. Challenge yourself walking up the walkway. Following that visit Seongeup Folk Village that still display the unique culture of Jeju Island; the black lava rock walls, the straight but curvy alleys to block the wind, and the stone grandfather statues (Harubang). Stop by at O’Sullock Green Tea Farm to visit the largest green tea museum in Korea. The building itself looks like a green tea cup making it a nature-friendly spot to relax. Enjoy refreshments such as green tea cake and green tea ice cream. The observatory atop the building offers a view of the green tea farm and the breathtaking view of the green tea farm set against Mt. Hallasan. Next visit Taeseum Safari Museum, one of the first museums in the world to exhibit all sorts of teddy bears arranged in adorable poses, teddy bears based on characters from Greek mythology and stitched dolls in shapes of wildlife animals, marine animals, flowers, birds, and more. Thence visit Jeju Glass Castle, an interesting theme park featuring an exhibition hall, garden and models all made entirely out of glass and art pieces from all over the world.

    Demilitarized Zone

    After breakfast, transfer to airport for a short domestic flight back to Seoul. Upon arrival, proceed to the northernmost in South Korea to experience the DMZ tour*. The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a weapons-free buffer zone between North and South Korea and it includes the 2km-wide stretch of no man land both north and south of the line. Learn more about the Korean War and the Cold War in the DMZ theatre & Exhibition Hall, visit the Imjingak Park and the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel. Catch a glimpse of North Korea through binoculars atop the Dora Observatory. (*Note: DMZ is a high security area; all visitors are requested to keep their belongings in assigned lockers, cell phones and cameras are prohibited at some areas. Helmets are required when walking down the tunnel). In the afternoon, transfer to the resort area for overnight.

    Soraksan National Park

    After breakfast, visit local farm to experience some farm activities and at the same time learn about cheese making or soap making. Next enjoy a scenic coach ride traversing to Soraksan National Park, one of Korea’s most beautiful mountain areas with breathtaking mountain peaks juxtaposed against the clouds. Enjoy a cable car ride up to the summit of Mt Sorak and be mesmerized by the beauty of the surrounding scenery. Visit the fascinating Shinheungsa Temple, a historical monument constructed during the Shilla era. (Note: the cable car ride is strictly subject to local weather conditions and station schedules). Next, check in to Soraksan Waterpia, one of Korea’s largest hot spring theme parks with a wide variety of outdoor and indoor activities using pure mineral waters. There are hot spring sauna, water play area and Korean bath. The water throughout the park is kept at a toasty 49 degrees, making for a fun spa experience year round and fun for the whole family. (Note: need to bring along own swim wears and swimming cap)

    Myeongdong Market

    Travel back to Seoul city for some serious shopping. Along visit the Dongdaemun Market a prominent landmark in Korea. It is Korea’s largest wholesale and retail shopping district featuring shopping malls and specialty shops. All kinds of goods can be found here including silks and fabric, clothes, shoes and accessories, electronics, leather goods etc etc. in the evening, visit Korea’s other famous shopping streets, Myeongdong Market where there is a mixture of street stalls and retail outlets selling everything from high fashion to casual attire, as well as many Korean cosmetics stores.

    Shopping

    Spend the day at leisure or join an optional tour to Everland Park, South Korea’s largest outdoor theme park. Or travel downtown for more shopping sprees.

    Home Sweet Home

    After breakfast, check out hotel and head to the Seaweed Museum where you will get a better understanding how the seaweeds are processed. After which roll up your sleeves and learn to make gimbap a typical Korean rice roll made with the seaweed. Same time don on the traditional hanbok costumes for some photo taking. Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
