    Blue Mosque

    Upon arrival, visit Istanbul, one of the most elegant cities in Turkey that embraces the cultures of two continents, Asia and Europe. Visit Yerebatan Sarayi, also known as Basilica Cistern that used to store and supply water to the city during the barbarian attacks when the city was under siege. The bases of two of these columns have reused earlier blocks carved with the head of a Medusa. Continue to visit the Topkapi Palace, once the seat of the Ottoman Empire. Today, it is a museum palace with a wide collection of porcelain, antiques, holy relics and other treasures. After lunch, visit Blue Mosque, also known as Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, which boasts a unique feature of 6 minarets. Admire its glorious interiors and distinctive blue tiles. Next, view the only remains of Hippodrome of Constantinople, consisting of 3 monumental columns and a fountain. This is the site where chariot races took place in the past. Photo stop of Hagia Sophia Museum, followed by lunch, then relax and enjoy the scenic drive to Bursa, the 4th-largest city in Turkey, for your overnight stay.

    This morning, visit Ulucami, also known as Grand Mosque, which was built by Sultan Bayezit I from 1396 to 1400. One of the most attractive examples of Ottoman architecture, the mosque has an interior fountain and a beautiful classic wooden pulpit. You will also visit Koza Han (silk market) and the covered bazaar nearby. Continue on a scenic drive to Pamukkale to tour the ruins of the Ancient City of Hierapolis and explore Cotton Castle, a World Heritage Site, made up of fascinating white terraces and pools created by calcareous hot spring waters flowing down the mountain. After dinner, you may wish to enjoy an authentic thermal bath at your own expense.

    Roman Gate

    From Pamukkale head towards Antalya - Aspendos, an ancient Greco-Roman city to visit its most well-preserved theatre of antiquity, the Aspendus Theatre. Built in the 2nd century AD, the theatre stage has finely carved marble reliefs and an estimated seating for 20,000 audiences. Still used today, the theatre's galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify to the architect's success. Proceed to Perge, the best example of a complete Roman city in the Pamphylian plain. You will visit the Nymphaeum, a monument consecrated to the nymphs, a public bath complex, the Roman Gate and Agora, an ancient marketplace. Nearby, you will see the remains of a once bustling marketplace. Continue to Duden Waterfalls for a photo stop.

    Enjoy a city tour Antalya with visit to The Alaaddin or Yivli Minare Mosque ("Fluted Minaret" Mosque), a historical mosque built by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubad I. It is part of a külliye (complex of structures) which includes the Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev Medrese, Seljuk and Dervish lodge, and the vaults of Zincirkıran and Nigar Hatun. The mosque's fluted minaret called the Yivli Minare, which is decorated with dark blue tiles, is a landmark and symbol of the city. Continue to Kekova, one of the most fascinating spots along the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Take a boat ride to see half-submerged ruins of the city of Simena across the bay. On the way back, the boat will leave the Kekova coast and go towards a village on the mainland. View the modest fisherman cottages and the outstanding Lycian sarcophagi. Thereafter, continue to Fethiye.

    Konak Square

    Modern Fethiye or ancient Telmessus, is a renowned port town of ancient Lycia, known for its more than 20 rock tombs carved into the faces of the cliffs by the Lycians. These are elaborately carved tombs and the most prominent one is the Tomb of King Amyntas dating back to the 4th century BC, built in Doric architectural style. Next, visit the ruins of the Byzantine Castle. You will then stay overnight in Izmir the 3rd largest city in Turkey, also known as the ancient “Smyrna”, believed to be the name of an Amazon woman warrior in the ancient times. View the clock tower in Konak Square, which is a symbol for the city.

    Trojan Horse

    Visit Ayvalik, a charming port situated amidst beautiful pine woods, well-known for its narrow streets and typical Greek houses. Proceed to visit Saatli Camii and Cinarli Camii both were built by the Greeks and converted to a mosque after 1928. Continue to the Dardanelles, also known as Canakkale, it is the name of the 72-kilometre-long strait that connects the Aegean to the Sea of Marmara. Visit the ruins of Troy and be greeted by the huge replica of the wooden Trojan horse. Troy is the site of 9 layers of settlement, each replacing the earlier below which was an active city from 3000 BC until the birth of Christ. The city was made famous in “Iliad and Odyssey” written by Homer.

    Grand Bazaar

    This morning, heads back to Istanbul to shop at the 500-year-old Grand Bazaar, a maze of over 4,000 stalls and shops selling leather goods, jewellery, handicrafts, ceramics, Turkish coffee and other local products.

    Syntagma Square

    After breakfast, it time to bid farewell to Turkey and transfer to the airport for your flight to Athens – Greece. Embark on a halfday city tour to see Syntagma Square, also known as “Constitution Square”, House of Parliament and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which is guarded by evzones in their traditional uniforms. Visit Pan Athenaic Olympic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. Explore the archaeological site of the Temple of the Olympian Zeus before you continue to Acropolis, an architectural masterpiece. See the Parthenon and the museum which holds the ruins of the ancient city.

    Saronic Islands

    After breakfast, transfer to the port of Marina Trocadero to take a cruise to the Saronic Islands, namely Aegina, Poros and Hydra. Enjoy lunch onboard the cruise. Upon reaching the islands, disembark and discover each island’s unique character and beauty. Aegina, the largest of the Saronic Islands, is famous for barbequed seafood and pistachio nuts. Poros, a pretty island, offers shopping opportunities, while Hydra is an artist’s delight and has boutiques, shops and cafes dotted around the harbour. On your return journey to the port, enjoy a live Greek dance performance.
