Upon arrival in Incheon airport, make a flight connection to Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan via Almaty. Upon arrival, proceed to the hotel for a night of rejuvenating rest.

This morning, start your tour with scenic drive off Dushanbe to visit the Hisor Fort, built during the 18th century with thick walls and cylindrical towers. It was destroyed by the Russians in 1924 and had been reconstructed. Visit Kukhna Madrasah, a 17th century Madrasa that was converted into a museum. After which, view the remains of the new Madrasah which was built between 18th to 19th century, but was destroyed during the civil war during the 1990s. Next continue to your journey to Bokhtar enroute to Buddhist Monastery Ajina-Tepa, where you will visit the ancient ruin remains of the monastery. The site of monastery is considered to be put under the World Heritage list for “Outstanding Universal Value” to the world.

After breakfast, proceed to visit Childukhtaron Nature Reserve where you will be immense with the rock mountains within the valley. The Nature reserve history backdate to the 13-century Mongol invasion. Upon arrival back to Bokhtar, view the Civil War Monument, where statues of heroes from the Civil War during the 1990s. Next, proceed to view the Rumi Monument, a 13-century Poet from Persian.

Today, proceed to Nurek Reservoir, a 70-kilo-meters long reservoir which has the world’s highest dam, Nurek Dam. The dam is use for hydroelectric power station with pastoral landscape of mountains. After lunch, travel to Kulob for your night stay. Continue with a visit to Navruz Palace, once known as the biggest tea house in the world. Lastly, stop by the Soviet Mosaics, where you will learn about the history of the country from the Soviet Union period.

After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Dushanbe, with a visit to the National Museum of Antiquities of Tajikistan. Here you will find yourself mesmerized with artefacts from around the country and represent the most important era of Tajikistan history. Not forgetting a 13-meters long lying buddha of 1500 years old and the largest Buddha statues founded in Central Asia. Continue your tour with a visit to Rudaki Park where you will view the National Museum of Tajikistan, statues of Rudaki, a 9th century writer where the park is named after. Here, you will also view statues of Ismail Somoni, a 9th leader which had the national currency named after. Thereafter, visit Haji Yaqub Mosque, the oldest mosque in Dushanbe City. Visit the Mehrgon Market, a modern market opened in 2014 designed with traditional Tajik Architecture. Get some local delicacies like nuts and sweets while walking down the market aisle.

This morning, take a scenic drive pass Varzob to Fann Mountain, the western Pamir-Alay Mountain system in Tajikistan. The mountain system lies between the Zarafshan Range and Gissar Range. Make a photo stop along Varzob River, one of the seven in the area. Next, continue for a photo-stop at the Waterfall of Fann Mountain, known as the “Niagara of Iskanderkul before reaching the Iskanderkul Lake. The lake was crafted out by ancient glaciers with an altitude of 2,195 meters. Thereafter, proceed to Panjakent, a city built over the Zeravshan River and was an ancient Iranian civilization town named Sogdiana during the Achaemenid Empire.

Today, visit the Panjakent Bazaar where you will find local snacks, fruits, items and even clothing and be overwhelmed by locals’ villagers from Zeravshan and Fann. The Bazaar has a unique circular interior that’s worth your visit. Continue with a visit to the ancient town of Panjakent, a small town which was developed through trade that was built in the fifth century AD and lasted till the middle of eighth century. Tour the ruins and be immersed with old medieval city. Make a photo-stop at the Zeravshan River before you proceed to view Loik Sherali Statue and Devashtich Statue, statues of the medieval ruler and poet in the region.

Start your day travelling towards Istaravshan, a city bordered by Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan within the Sughd province of the country. The city had its name changed from Uroteppa in the year 2000. Enroute to Urmitan Valley for a photo stop of the Pamirs Mountain Range. Next, continue pass the Shakristan Village before you make a stop at the Bust of Lenin, the largest Bust of Lenin in the world. Thereafter, proceed to Fortress Mug Tepe, a citadel backdated to the first Persian empire and beyond.

This day, visit the Bazaar of Istaravshan where the city’s main fame for its grapes and pomegranates. Thereafter, visit the old town of Istaravshan where you will visit the Kok Gumbaz Madrasa, it is one of the oldest structures and building in the city which was erected in the 16th century. Next, continue to the unique 16th century building, Sari Mazor Mausoleum, built on fired bricks which has a square dome in a shape of a cross. After which, visit a 19th century house, view the interior, speak to the owner and understand their culture and living.

After breakfast, take a scenic drive whilst admiring the vast scenery of the country’s landscape before your proceeding to Dushanbe airport for your flight to Almaty.
